A good camo print never goes out of style, according to Carhartt. Inspired by its own design history, the Dearborn-based workwear brand has released a new, limited-edition collection for men and women that features a vintage camo print.

The six-piece Heritage Camo includes a unisex knit beanie, a heavyweight pocket T-shirt in men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 sizes that features a duck camo print; a hooded sweatshirt in men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 sizes that showcases a camo Carhartt logo on the left sleeve and features a front handwarmer pocket; and a water-repellent men鈥檚 jacket that has an abrasion-resistant shell and lightweight insulation.

Pricing ranges from $20 to $120. Like many of Carhartt鈥檚 clothing and accessories, the pieces are designed to work as as everyday wear or as gear for the outdoors.

鈥淒uring these uncertain times, we鈥檙e seeing people get back to the land and enjoying the outdoors, whether it鈥檚 hunting, fishing, camping, or other activities,鈥 says听Alex Guerrero, senior vice president and general manager of Global Product at Carhartt, in a press release. 鈥淪o it felt like the right time to tap into our amazing heritage and reintroduce this iconic camo to our brand enthusiasts.鈥

The team at Carhartt adapted the brand鈥檚 original camouflage pattern, which was first used on outwear and pants in 1972, to create the Heritage Camo collection. The idea for the collection began in 2017 when the brand鈥檚 archive team acquired a vintage camo jacket that used the original pattern.

According to company officials, the team then replicated the pattern digitally by scanning the jacket in sections. The digitized materials were then passed off to Carhartt product designers to create the new, limited-edition looks.
