This spring, Canterbury Village in Lake Orion is hosting Dino Stroll, a family-friendly experience that will allow guests to come face to face with more than 100 life-like prehistoric creatures.
Dino Stroll will feature animatronic reptiles and dinosaurs, most of which are more than 30 feet tall and 40 feet long. The dinos 鈥 which include the Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptors, Stegosaurs, Brachiosaurus, and Carnotaurus 鈥 will come to life through head and breathing movements, blinking, and other interactive features.
The outdoor attraction will give guests the chance to learn more about skeletons, fossils, and dinosaur eggs. Attendees can also enjoy photo opportunities, encounters with characters who are roaming the grounds, and food, drink, and entertainment by the Dino Band at Canterbury Village鈥檚 C-Pub.
Dino Stroll will run from May 20-23 and 28-31. On opening day, all net proceeds will benefit Jay鈥檚 Juniors. The nonprofit, founded by local radio host Jay Towers, supports chronically and terminally ill children. 鈥淲e are proud to partner with Jay鈥檚 Juniors once again to help children and their families,鈥 says Keith Aldridge, owner of Canterbury Village, in a press release. 鈥淲ith the support of the community, together, we can ensure that all the children within Jay鈥檚 program have some additional joy brought to their lives.鈥
Tickets are available for purchase online and at Canterbury Village through a contactless system. Admission is $10, and military, veterans, and children under 2 years old may enter at no cost. Parking is $5.
To be mindful of safety during the pandemic, limited capacity sessions will be offered with timed tickets. Canterbury Village will also undergo additional sanitization measures, and guests are required to wear masks.
