The seasonal, classic-American menu features local ingredients, from its craft cocktails (You can鈥檛 get any more seasonal or local than the spring-inspired 鈥淕arden of Daisies鈥 with Valentine鈥檚 White Blossom vodka as its base), to its rotating desserts. A recent sampling of the latter included a 鈥渃reamsicle鈥 confection, and a swoon-worthy decadent chocolate cake.
Though poultry, fish and beef are prominently offered in the appetizers, soups, salad and main dishes 鈥 from a tuna tartar app and short rib barley soup to Halibut fish and chips and filet mignon with green peppercorn sauce 鈥 vegan and vegetarian options have a respectable and well-thought-out presence from its 鈥淓verything鈥 Biscuits with Umami butter appetizer to a Pesto caseracce with fava beans main dish. Many of the menu items are also gluten-free.
The restaurant, a collaboration between Detroit-based Chickpea Hospitality and international real estate and hospitality investor Oxford Capital Group rounds out the 227-room hotel鈥檚 offerings, which also features the indoor/outdoor IO rooftop lounge with expansive views of downtown Detroit and Corktown, which serves cocktails and bites; and a 5,100 square-foot ballroom that can accommodate events of more than 300 guests, which is quickly becoming the go-to venue for corporate events.
