MGM Grand Detroit’s food hall concept, Detroit Central Market, is now open for business. The new spot offers four different fast-casual dining options.
Fat Daddy’s Hot Chicken, which also operates a location in Riverview, is among the featured restaurants in the market. The eatery’s menu includes its well-known Fat Daddy sandwich — a jumbo boneless chicken thigh, pickles, comeback sauce, and slaw on a brioche bun — as well as hot fried chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, seasoned fries, spicy baked beans. Customers can also turn up the heat at Diablo’s Tacos, which serves up Mexican street tacos, quesadillas, rice, beans, and fresh guacamole.
Meanwhile, Grand Wok Noodle Bar features traditional Asian cuisine, including wok-tossed noodles and noodle soups, fresh seafood, bao buns, and pot stickers. Rounding out the selection is The Corners Detroit-Style Pizza, which offers a variety of signature pizzas, soups, and salads.
“These new offerings showcase the talents of our culinary team and allow us to continue to support local businesses to expand into downtown Detroit,” says David Tsai, president of the Midwest Group for MGM Resorts International, in a press release. “Nothing brings a community together quite like food does, and we are so excited to play our part in Detroit’s exciting food scene. Detroit Central Market is yet another way we’re dedicated to providing guests with new and uniquely Detroit experiences.”
The food hall, which is located in the former Palette Dining Studio and features work by local artists, also offers contactless mobile ordering. Customers can scan QR codes on their tables to place their order and pay, and food will be delivered directly to them.
Detroit Central Market is open noon to midnight, Sunday through Thursday, and noon to 2 a.m., Saturday and Sunday.
