The Culture Academy Launch Gala at Little Caesars Arena on June 25, 2023, celebrated the launch of the new nonprofit organization Culture Academy, which works to ”create pathways for emerging creatives of color to use their talent to pursue careers in creative spaces beyond their imagination.” The event offered a gala concert with special guests Steve Mackey, Avery Wilson, and Friends, along with dinner and dancing. Funds from the event went to support programming offered by the nonprofit.
