In just a few days, Canton customers can enjoy Buddy鈥檚 favorites including 鈥淪uper 6 Mile,鈥 with Wisconsin brick cheese, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and ham; or 鈥淭he Henry Ford,鈥 with a Motor City cheese blend, red onions, seasoned ground beef, bacon, bleu cheese, and tomato basil sauce. Classroom grants, district programs, scholarship opportunities, and intervention funds are made possible by fundraisers like these.
In addition to the donations, Buddy鈥檚 Pizza will also randomly select five Canton customers to win free Buddy鈥檚 Pizza for an entire year. Winners will be chosen on each day of opening week, Feb. 26-March 1.
A private ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Feb. 26. Immediately following the ceremony, doors will open, and orders can be placed.
Buddy鈥檚 Pizza opened its first location in 1946 on the corner of Six Mile and Conant, and became the birthplace of the original Detroit-style pizza made in forged-steel pans borrowed from local automotive plants, Detroit-style pizza is now recognizable for its square shape and crunchy corner slices.
