At For the Love of Sugar in Midtown, rows of macaroons in vanilla, fruity pebbles, and Nutella are displayed near cake flavors in Knafeh, carrot, and triple-berry vanilla bean as well as tasty pastries like cookies, brownies, and gooey cinnamon rolls. A pour-over coffee, espresso, or specialty latte in caramel flan serve as fine choices to complete any and every order, which dine-in guests can enjoy seated at a marble tabletop under a crystal chandelier.

Founder Manal Hussein studied marketing management in school. Yet, even after starting a full-time job, she still found herself baking for her close friends and family in her spare time. Eventually, inspired by her Middle Eastern roots, creativity, and a relentless love for everything sweet, she turned her baking hobby into For the Love of Sugar in 2010. Then, in 2017, the bakery opened its current location in The Scott Building.
